Wind and Solar Hybrid System

A wind and PV hybrid power system consists of wind power generator set and PV cell pack. It may rectify the low-voltage AC output from the wind power generator set into DC through a specific controller and converge with the DC output from the PV cell pack to be charged into the battery for purpose of steady voltage, energy storage process so as to provide a steady DC power supply to LED for the users. This product can specially used for windy area and street lighting due to omission of cable laying and uninterrupted service etc. It may mainly be used for islands along frontiers, remote mountainous areas, and pasturing areas etc. Which cannot be covered by the grids or that a small system cannot meet requirements.

The advantages of a wind and PV hybrid power system:

A wind and PV hybrid power system can simultaneously utilize solar and wind energy for power generation. Therefore, it can more sufficiently utilize weather resources and can make power generation all day long. Under the appropriate weather resource conditions, a wind and PV hybrid power system can boost continuity, stability, and reliability of power supply.

Both initial investment and costs of power generation for a unit capacity system will be less than those of an independent PV system. If solar energy can well be complementary with wind energy, the capacity of battery set may properly be reduced.

Under conditions with abundant resources of solar and wind energy as well as good complementation, continuous and steady power supply to the loads in the system can be realized only though wind and PV hybrid power generation after optimization of configuration, running mode and load scheduling method etc.
