Shengdong Gas Engine was founded by Ministry of Petroleum (divided into SinoPec and ChinaPetro in 1990s) in late 1970s, located in Shengli Oil Field, Dongying City, Shandong Province. Core business of Shengdong is gas engine, meanwhile diesel engine, oil equipment are also manufactured in Shengdong factories.
Today, Shengdong Gas Engine holds more than 45% of China's gas engine market while the share is still rising.
