How to use the Ozone Generator?
The Ozone generator is very easy to use. Place the unit on a flat surface or mount onto a secure wall away from human activity. It does not have to be directly by the source of odors to work effectively. This Ozone Generator can effectively treat up to 3000 cubic feet of space. When the unit is plugged in, and the unit is powered on, the fan will draw air in passing over the UV lamp located inside the enclosure. Ozone is created inside the unit and is expelled from the front of the unit.
When first plugged in, a LED screen will show "0". When you press the on/off switch, it will change to "30", indicating that the unit is producing Ozone; then the number decreases progressively. After running for 30 minutes the unit will return to "0". The "0" will stay illuminated for 10 minutes while the unit is on its "off" cycle. The Ozone Generator operates in cycles of 1 minute increments up to 30 minutes while in the "on" mode. The off mode is preset for 10 minutes between all run cycles. The off mode is to prevent ozone levels from becoming too high in a given area. There are 30 preset modes on this unit: (1,2,3,4,5,6 .30,,min) 1 min on and 10 min off, 2 min on and 10 min off, 3 min on and 10 min off, .and so. To change the unit from one time mode to the next, you press the mode button one time, the LED screen will change and show "0" to "1"for the 1 minute cycle. If you press the mode button two times then you will go to the 2 minute cycle, and if you press the mode button three times then you will go to the 3 minute cycle, four times 4 minute cycle, five times 5 minute cycle, six times 6 minute cycle and so on up to thirty minutes.
Use different outlet that is known to be working.
If LED screen is "0", then the unit is in standby mode for 10 minutes. Either press the power button to over-ride the standby mode or wait 10 minutes for the unit to go to on to the preset timed cycle that was selected. (1,2,3,4,5,6 .30,,min)
You may have to ventilate more often or move the unit to an area not directly around people
Excessive exposure to ozone can be dangerous above .5ppm. To reduce exposure, increase ventilation. People with asthma or chronic respiratory disease may be more susceptible than others and should not use an ozone generator in a closed area if ill effects are being felt. Prolonged extreme exposure to high concentrations of ozone(over .5ppm) can cause damage the lungs
Precautions:
If you detect a strong ozone smell, the level is too high. Increase ventilation or move the unit to an unoccupied area.
Operate only in a dry and safe ventilated environment.
DO NOT open the cover. There are no user serviceable parts inside.
DO NOT disable safety devices on this unit.
DO NOT operate this unit with the cover removed. Looking at the UV light can cause eye damage.
People with asthma or chronic respiratory disease maybe more susceptible to problems than others and should not use an ozone generator in a close area if ill affects are being felt.
