Nitrogen offers a wide range of applications such as purging, firefighter, creating inert atmosphere, carrier gas, blanketing, packing, filling, plastic molding, so on and so forth, so nitrogen generation plant is alwaly used in many industries like refinery, metals, oil&gas, food, electronics, chemical industry, petrochemical, glass. And etc. Nitrogen generation plant by PSA(pressure swing adsorption)is a favorable choice for many users as it is an easy and reliable way for them to save money and give free control over the nitrogen gas use.
Technological Process
Nitrogen generation plant from our company are designed and manufactured based on the principle of Pressure Swing Adsorption(PSA) to separate nitrogen and oxygen from the compressed air. The separation takes place in two adsorption towers (A and B) filled with carbon molecular sieve. The process is based on the fact of faster kinetic diffusion of oxygen molecules into the pore structure of the carbon molecule sieve than that for nitrogen molecules.
Ambient air, having being compressed and purified to remove oil, water and dust, enters the adsoption swing adsorping device with two adsorption towers filled with carcon molecular sieve(CMS). The compressed air flow to the adsorption tower from the bottom to up. In the process, oxygen molecular is adsorbed, while nitrogen flows out of the upper side of adsorption tower and then enters then buffer tank for impure nitrogen. After a period of time, the CMS in the adsorption tower is saturated by the oxygen adsorbed. At this time, regeneration is needed. It is realized by stopping adsorbing step and reduce pressure in the adsorption tower. Adsorption and regeneration are conducted alternatively in the two adsorption towers to ensure the consecutive output of nitrogen gas.
In summary it consists of two main mechanisms

The main features include:

-Supervision of the technical parameters with safety show down and alarm in case of abnormal operation.
-Control of the process valve on a display.
-Sophisticated diagnostics
-The impurity /purity of the product is being check continuously by an automatic online-O2 analyzer.
Start up and shut down.
-The start up of the N2 generation plant is simply to push down operation. The product is being delivered within a short time from start up.
-At shut-down of the plant, a precisely defined program cycle continues to run for a few minutes before completes shut-down is reached. The absorbers are then in regeneration conditions and prepared for restart of operation. After restart product in accordance with specification can be produced within a few minutes.
-The PLC adjusts the process parameters accordingly.
