1. PSA Introduction Principle
1.1 The Whole name of PSA is Pressure Swing Adsorption. This is the one of technology to separate gas nitrogen from air. The detail of PSA technology is this:Oxygen's molecule is smaller than nitrogen's molecule, So under the certain pressure when they both through the tank which is full of carbon molecular sieve (CMS), the Oxygen molecule will be adsorbed by the CMS. Why does it happen? Because there is a lot of hole on the surface of the carbon molecule. The hole is just bigger than Oxygen molecule, smaller than nitrogen molecule. According to the pressure,the Oxygen molecule will be pushed to the hole of carbon molecule. Then the nitrogen pass through the tank. Finally the purity nitrogen will be produced.This is processing of PSA nitrogen generator .

2.PSA Technology Background
In 1674 all the Everyday terms specialist John Mayow highlighted the air is consist of various elements. He found that just a portion of air can be combustible. The rest of air couldn't. One century later, Scottish chemist Joseph Black did the more research for the air. When he removing oxygen and carbon dioxide from the air, He found that it is still a portion of gas(nitrogen) left. So eventually he used the high affinity manner of buring phosphorus for reomoving the oxygen. As for the further study of the gases, he assigned his student Daniel Rutherford to do the research. Up to the Black's research and with his methods, he thoroughly removed oxygen and carbon dioxide from air. The residual gas couldn't support combustion or living organisms. It was like CO2 but the difference of CO2 was that the gas was insoluble in water and alkali solutions. The discovery of the gas was recognized to be noxious air which we now call nitrogen. Swedish pharmacist Carl Scheele also found nitrogen and he called it spent air. After the series of steps , he removed the oxygen and carbon from air. And he found that the residual gas took between two-thirds and three-quarters of the volume in the original air. Then he published the results in 1777. Actually the Cavendish had reached the relative aspects prior to 1772. But he was not published. So he used the charcoal and potassium hydroxide to remove the O2 and CO2. Then he found the rest of gas is very similar to the air, but it was lighter than air. And the residual gas would burn shorter when the gas wan more in the common air.
