Selective Catalytic Reduction(SCR) for Diesel Engines
Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) is an advanced active emissions control technology system that injects a liquid-reductant agent (urea) through a special catalyst into the exhaust stream of a diesel engine.
SCR catalyst can removes nitrogen oxides (NOx) from diesel vehicles. In the SCR process,the reducing agent reacts with NOx to convert the pollutants into nitrogen (N2), H2O and tiny amounts of carbon dioxide (CO2) ,which is then expelled through the vehicle tailpipe. Catalyzed Diesel Particulate Filter (CDPF) for Diesel Engines
Catalyzed diesel particulate filter (CDPF) are designed to reduce harmful emissions of particulate matter (PM) from diesel engines. The primary role of a CDPF is to trapping particulate matter (PM) in the exhaust gas and then continuously burn them to regenerate itself at normal diesel operation exhaust temperature, continuously operate without becoming plugged.
The main purpose of the catalyst is to facilitate passive regeneration of the filter by enabling the oxidation of diesel particulate matter under exhaust temperatures experienced during regular operation of the engine/vehicle, typically in the 300-400 ºC range.
Catalytic diesel particulate filters are widely used on buses, trucks, fork trucks, cranes, construction machineries ,diesel power generation set and other on the off road diesel engine applications.
