Electric Generator Rental

November 22nd, 2010 aboutgenerator No comments

Tired of being caught in the between power interruption? Afraid of not meeting the deadline because of unscheduled brownouts? Of all the wonders, that the industrial age has brought, electricity is the most rewarding source of energy. Almost all appliances that goes to our home and to which our everyday depend uses electric power. It is the primary source of energy, wherein modern mechanical wonders are anchored. However, Electricity as a source of energy is limited. Power shortages are common nowadays and that little has been made to improve its supply. Increase in power interruption brought about by power shortages has plagued a number of household as well as business establishments for quite some time. It makes living a little bit difficult for the ordinary individual. Thus, the little gadgets that make our lives bearable at some point will be useless once electric power is interrupted or cut off.

Generators existed in order to address these power shortages. The average middle class cannot readily avail or buy generators to use during power interruptions. One option less costly is to rent one. Rental establishment offers a wide variety of choices to choose from according to one’s needs. Aside from the usual walk-in business rental, there are online rental services that offer you not just variety of options but also deliver rented generator free of charge. In renting generators these essential points should be consider.

PURPOSE- it answers the kind of generator you need for the specific task at hand. Generator companies have a catalog of Generators that will cater to every need in the market. Portable generators are purposely design to be mobile and easy to carry. They (portable generator) can generate power on emergency situation. On the other hand, Industrial grade generators are fixed or stationary; they are designed to generate high capacity power output to manage higher demands on electricity. An auxiliary criterion to be considered is the mobility of the generator. Meaning the generator you intend to purchase should be movable from one site to another upon demand.

CAPACITY- refers to the generating output of the generator. The capacity of a generator is measured by how much KVA (kilo volt ampere) it can produce when it is running. Industrial grade generators can generate higher KVA and are mainly use to power up building and industrial. These kinds of generators are use as back-ups in case of unscheduled power interruptions. Portable Generators on the other hand are built for emergency purposes or mainly for personal use.

FUEL- generators also need fuel to operate. Generators are can run on various fuels, however, what must be considered is the availability of the fuel in the place. Others consider the price; fuel consumption is relative to number of hours a generator is used. So the longer the generator is used, higher fuel consumption is expected.

COST- refers to the price tag of the generator one wanted to buy. The cost of the generator is dependent upon the feature the goes with it. Normally a generator is priced according to its KVA capacity output. It is because the higher its KVA output, results in higher kilowatt output is generated. A higher kilowatt output results to a higher load capacity for the generator.

How Does A Gas Generator Operate in the Machine?

November 22nd, 2010 aboutgenerator No comments

There are various types of generators available in the market today but a gas generator cannot just function in any kind of machine. Some generators are made to work which relies on their efficacy or their performance in working. Gas generators are not only made to generate electricity. There are gas generators that require pressure from gas to perform their work. Thus, these generators cannot just work on simple machines.

Gas generators are used to manufacture huge quantities of gas. They are used on machines that require large bulk of gas in order to apply greater pressure to make the machine capable of working.

These generators are usually used in engines of rockets. There should be multiple generators that are to be used on pump-fed rockets in order to make the rocket turbines function. This way, the turbo pumps will be powered up to allow the propellants stretch out to the injector pressure located at the tank head.

The generator’s exhaust is commonly discharged outside or over board. This exhaust does not have anything to do with the impelling force or thrust. This would mean that the period of the thrust can be beneficial because it is simple to manage and the concept is also flexible.

Gas generators can also be used in automobiles specifically on airbags. The generator is mostly seen inside of the airbag. The airbag has three compounds that can be used as receptions of the gas generators. The three compounds are sodium azide or NaN3, silicon dioxide or SiO2 and potassium oxide or K20. These compounds have various roles to play in order to assist the generator inside the airbag do its job.

In cases of car accidents, there will be three reactions that are chemical in nature that will occur in the generator to generate the gas called nitrogen or N2. This gas will occupy the airbag and will impede performance of sodium azide which is a lethal gas. As the car mishap is occurring, a cue can trigger the sodium azide through a whim that can generate high levels of temperature. This situation is important for the NaN3 to desiccate. Then nitrogen gas is manufactured and loaded in the airbag. Both potassium oxide and silicone dioxide help take away the sodium metal and divert to another material that is safe and harmless. The sodium metal reciprocate first with potassium nitrate producing K2O or potassium oxide, Na2O or sodium oxide and another round of nitrogen gas. This gas will again be reloaded in the airbag during the second reaction. For the final reaction, metal oxide will respond to silicon dioxide or SiO2 generating a protected and secure silicate gas.

There are also other gas generators that are used for situations in generating electricity and they are called portable gas generators. These kinds of generators are structured together with mufflers. These are also structured to let generators do their work in silence and do not make noise. This portal gas generator is fitting with respect to fuel consumption and provides high quality in responding to the user’s requirements.

Gas Powered Generators - Save the Day During Power Interruptions

November 22nd, 2010 aboutgenerator No comments

In our everyday lives, we could not afford to live without electricity that is why gas powered generators are there to save the day during power interruptions. Power interruptions are one of the unpredictable situations that we encounter. Some of the causes of power supply disruptions are nature’s wrath such as lightning and thunder storm. Another is the human’s attitude problem where one will suddenly cut off the main line of the power plant thus, causing power interruption. If these things occur, we always get troubled. What are we going to do next with the absence of electricity, especially that most of our day to day activities have depended on it?

For sure business will be paralyzed if the operation relies on electrical machineries, and we do not want to spend the whole day or night without any electrical power right? This is why it is imperative that we have a backup supply of power.

Most of these days, a lot of people have been talking endlessly about inverter generators that are portable. These types of generators typically require some kind of battery to work. Perhaps an approximate of 150 or 300 watt inverters is needed to transform the stored power in your automobiles battery for a few light bulbs or a diminutive television to power on. However, the common inverters will not be able to supply large loads of power. It cannot also give power that can be used as backup for a period of long hours or days. There are some inverters that can do these. However, it will put a hole in your pocket just to make that type of power system. Others are also into back-up systems, which are solar generated. And just like the inverters, this type of system is also expensive because solar panels do not come cheap.

If you don’t want to go through spending large bucks for your power back-up systems, the most reasonable fix for that is getting a gas power generator. Some may say that it is obsolete or outdated but gas power generator can save your day.

If compared to inverters, generators powered by gas are affordable plus you do not need to trouble yourself about spending extra cash for maintenance since generators which are gas powered are very effortless to maintain.

There are things that you should take note first before purchasing a generator of this kind like knowing the needs of your power. There are several types of gas generators like the heavy standby generators which are quite costly but they can supply power for 24 hours without stopping. There is also the portable gas power generator which is cheaper. Portable generators can cater a common household for an approximate of 8 hours more or less. Still the good thing about generators which are run by gas is that they still cost less as compared to other generators like the inverters and solar ones.

Electricity is such an important commodity nowadays that is why we should always have a backup power system during unexpected events. Investing a generator is worth it but it doesn’t mean that you need to spend more. Gas powered generators are always there to lift up the paralyzed world of power interruptions.

diesel-generator

Generators have long been an alternative source of power. Its use varies from the industrial to personal need. The product specifications of generators can be known by just reading its brochure and the technical nature of which are lengthily discussed by other sources in the web. However, this article will tackle only the basic issues and benefit of owning a diesel generator and everyday impact to the public. In fact, boring you with every data available is actually counterproductive. Perhaps, it might be interesting to discuss the beneficial use of owning one.

Electricity is probably the main source of power that is used every day. Its use is evidently manifested even in the everyday jobs that we do. Our homes cannot run smoothly without it. A good rest is not possible without electricity powering the air-conditioning unit. Offices will not be a conducive place to work. All in all, without electricity man will be thrown back to the Stone Age, and every industrial endeavor for advancement and development would stop to a grinding halt.

Diesel Generators are very handy as an external source of power. Power shortages are common nowadays and unexpected power interruption would likely happen without warning. Stand-by power generators are a necessity for every business establishment as well as for the home. They come in every possible size to accommodate the requirements of consumers. Compact ones can provide basic electrical power to light up a house during power interruption. On the other hand, Industrial grade diesel generator can even produce enough electrical power to light up the entire City and even neighboring cities in the event of power shortages and interruption. The conventional use of diesel generator has benefited different sectors on our society. A few of these are construction companies that rely most on the convenience and capability of diesel generators to provide the needed electricity on work sites. Financial centers in cities around the world banked on the diesel generators to aid and furnish them the needed power source in case of emergency. Even, when calamity strikes or in case of natural disaster, portable diesel generators always play an important part in making a difference.

These industrial machines be it a compact one or and industrial grade are not hard to maintain. On the average, diesel generators would only require a regular check-up and the needed oil change just like the regular car. They have a higher fuel efficiency ratio compare to a gasoline operated generating sets. Considering that diesel fuel is much cheaper that gasoline diesel generators, extraordinary expenses on fuel are lesser compared to the gasoline generators.

The convenience and the benefit that goes with acquiring a diesel generator greatly balanced the cost that comes with it. It is convenient to own one right now than be caught in the dark. Generators have gained a status of necessity in the modern world, cause without it there would never be a light in the end of the tunnel.

Diesel Generator - Applications and Brands

November 22nd, 2010 aboutgenerator No comments

Diesel generators are very useful for a wide variety of applications. Lets look first at residential usage. Backup generators are great ways to keep electrical power running but they are quite expensive for most families. That is why an investment in one is expected to last quite a while. A diesel generator is valuable here since it usually lasts longer than a gasoline generator. Diesel also is less combustible and has a longer shelf life than gasoline which makes it better as a residential generator fuel. However,  diesel generators are not as useful as propane or natural gas generators for residential usage. Diesel generators can also be used as marine generators. There are diesel marine generators that are more powerful and have better engine life than their gasoline counterparts. For most boats running diesel fuel, a diesel powered marine generator just makes more sense. For RV, portable, and other recreational generator needs, gasoline or other fuel types may work also but for heavy duty, reliable applications, diesel or propane are the best options. All these applications can be used with diesel generators.

Residential Backup Diesel Generator Brands

Poweredgenerators.com does not consider diesel generators the best option for residential applications when natural gas or propane are much better options. There are some brands out there but all customers should first look at natural gas or propane options for residential backup generators. However, diesel generators are viable options when larer fuel storage is available.

Natural Gas Generator - Your Economical and Environment Friendly Electrical Energy Source

November 21st, 2010 aboutgenerator No comments

natural-gas-generator-your-economical-and-environment-friendly-electrical-energy-source

A natural gas generator is more economical to use than petrol fueled generators. It is also environment friendly to operate because it minimizes the probability of polluting the immediate and surrounding area where it operates. Spills are not uncommon when using liquid fuels like gasoline. Some of it will splash out of the gas container while transporting the fuel or spill out of the fuel tank while the unit is being refueled. This spilled fuel can contaminate the surrounding area and can even be the cause of a fire when it touches on the hot surface of the generator.

Natural gas generators burn cleaner too, producing no fumes compared to a lot of toxic fumes produced by gasoline engines. Natural gas is the cleanest burning fossil fuel. It emits much lower levels of sulfur, nitrogen and greenhouse gasses. It is also more economical to use saving as much as 40% lower compared to diesel and gasoline engines. Coal is the only non renewable power source cheaper than gas to use, but coal produces a lot of pollutants and more dangerous to get as evidenced by all the coal mining accidents in the news.

Fuel supply is not a problem for most residential and business users of gas generators. Existing pipelines supply the needed fuel and you do not have to purchase and store extra fuel. Small generators can also use portable storage tanks and be able to use their portable natural gas generator in distant areas to generate electricity.

There are a lot of natural gas generators available depending on your needs and the purpose that it is going to be used. A generator that will be used to energize the entire house will be much bigger and have a much larger capacity than one that will be used to run a few appliances.

Bigger generators are usually stationary and mounted on a stable permanent base. The smaller machines are typically moveable where they are carried from one place to another. They usually have wheels for more portability. The wheels usually have locks to keep the units from moving and for more stability while being used.

A gas generator needs to be attached to a natural gas pipeline as its power source. It is better to get the services to a licensed plumber to get the right fittings on a portable gas generator and to permanently install the stationary model to ensure that everything is properly set up and avoid leaks and accidents.

It is predicted that more households are going to use a natural gas generator in the future. Natural gas still emits pollutants but in a much lower level compared to coal, diesel and gasoline. As the whole world is trying to minimize its dependence on electric power produced by coal and oil, natural gas is a better alternative in areas that it is readily available, to reduce power generation cost and to save the environment. The use of natural gas in cars, portable generators, and fixed home and office electricity generation units will continue to increase.
